The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating within the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, held an introductory interview about the “Emergency Aid and Disaster Management” department for high school students on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
The presentation was made by Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department graduate and Disaster Education and Management specialist Mr. Piska Memetali Hakan who participated as a speaker. Our guest started his speech by introducing himself. Then, he included answers to questions such as what is the Emergency Aid and Disaster Management (AYAY) department, who should choose this department and what do graduates do.
The speaker also explained the course contents and internship studies related to the department. Giving information about the uniform and other equipment he brought with him, Mr. Piska Memetali also shared his experiences, feelings and thoughts about the search and rescue efforts he participated in after the natural disaster. In his speech, our guest lastly touched upon diploma equivalence and employment opportunities. The interview ended with advice given to students.
