The “Hope for Women, Life for Society” project, jointly organized by the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association and the Mufti of Xanthi, was completed with the Istanbul Culture Trip held on May 2-6.
The women of Xanthi, who came together with different subjects and guests for 10 weeks within the framework of the project, met with educator- author Dilek Cesur and theologian- author Ahmet Bulut, the author of the book “Patient families raise compassionate children”, which they read within the framework of the project.
60 women participating in the project from Koyunkoy, Pashevik and Elmali villages of Xanthi were hosted at the educational center of the Dervisoglu Foundation, headed by theologian-author Ahmet Bulut.
The women from Xanthi, who participated in the seminars on the first day of the program, expressed their satisfaction at being hosted at the Dervisoglu Foundation.
On the second day of the program, the ladies from Xanthi, who had the opportunity to visit the historical and cultural sites of Istanbul accompanied by the guide Hasan Usta, assigned by the Mayor of Zeytinburnu Omer Arisoy, completed the day with a Bosphorus tour.
The ladies, who had the opportunity to do shopping in Istanbul on the last day of the program, left Istanbul on the night of Friday, May 5, with great satisfaction.
“Hope for Women, Life for Society” project managers Gulcan Mumin and Sevcan Haciali, and the Xanthi Mufti Family Services branch manager Hulya Giritli thanked Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa and WTMUGA President Huseyin Baltaci for their support throughout the project. On the other hand, they thanked Hasan Hamac, the owner of the travel agency Chamats Travel, who provided all kinds of convenience to them during the Istanbul Culture Trip.
