One of the founding members of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates
Association and the longest-serving president, and also a former independent MP from
Rhodope province, Ismail Molla Rodoplu, was commemorated on the fourth anniversary of
his death with a commemoration ceremony organized by our association at his grave in the
cemetery of Symvola village, Komotini, his birthplace, on Monday, September 2. Heads of
institutions and organizations, local administrators and our compatriots attended the
commemoration ceremony where the President of the Western Thrace Minority University
Graduates Association, Huseyin Baltaci and the President of the Western Thrace Turkish
Minority Advisory Board and the Elected Mufti of Komotini, Mr. Ibrahim Serif, gave
speeches.
