The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating under the Western Thrace
Minority University Graduates Association, carried out the introductions of “Mathematics
Department and Mathematics Teaching” departments for high school students on Friday,
November 1, 2024.
Math teacher Aydin Halil and Hasan Bayram, who graduated from the Mathematics
department and also completed their master’s degree in Physics, participated as speakers.
They started their speech by talking about the differences between the two departments.
While listing the characteristics that must be possessed to do this job, they emphasized that
loving mathematics is a prerequisite. They stated that mathematics is an art of problem
solving and is used in every area of life. They also provided information about job
opportunities after graduating from this department, diploma recognition, shared their
experiences as students and gave advice.
The interview ended with questions and answers from students.
