The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating within the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, held the second part of the topic titled “Self-Confidence for Young People” within the framework of “Personal Development Workshops” on February 2, 2024, in the third session of the workshops.
With the presentation they prepared together, senior high school students Hayrunnisa and Beyza comprehensively examined the three rules titled: Nurture the Positive, Let the Positive Grow, Every Darkness Has a Light, I Don’t Let Circumstances Limit Me. First of all, they pointed out that our attitude towards events in our lives is important and that we can enjoy everything with a positive perspective. They then mentioned that gratitude fosters peace and happiness, and emphasized that if we show compassion towards ourselves and others, we will send an energy full of love and kindness to the world. They then gave examples of passive, aggressive and assertive communication sentences, and also raised awareness of the communication style they use for themselves. Then, the subjects of the way we express our emotions, our choices and responsibilities in life were also discussed.
In the last rule, it was made clear that there are possibilities in our lives, the importance of imagination and examples of determined behavior. At the same time, the paths to inner peace were mentioned and information was given that mindfulness meditation exercises could also be applied on the path to inner peace. As a result, students were able to gain benefits from this study.
