The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating under the Western Thrace
Minority University Graduates Association, held a session titled “The Relationship between
Mind and Heart in Philosophy and Science” within the framework of “Personal Development
Workshops” on March 7, 2025. High school seniors Azra and Kioumpra and high school
second class student Melike delivered the presentation they prepared to the participants.
The students began their presentations by defining the concepts of mind and heart. They then
explained the connection between the brain and heart from a physiological perspective. They
then touched upon the relationship between mind and heart from a philosophical perspective
and included various explanations made on this subject throughout the history of thought. The
students gave examples to make the subject more understandable, and at the end of the
presentation, they evaluated the mind-heart relationship with the participants in the context of
artificial intelligence and shared their views and thoughts on this subject.
