The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating within the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, introduced the “Turkish Language Teaching” department for high school students on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Sibel Abdullah Hasan, a member of the Women’s Branch of our association, who graduated from Trakya University Turkish Language Teaching Department and completed her master’s degree in the Balkan Studies Department, started the interview by briefly introducing herself. Then, she gave comprehensive answers to questions such as what is the Turkish department and the reason for choosing it, what do graduates of this department do, and shared her experiences during and after university. She also emphasized the need for determination and struggle to achieve the goal. Giving suggestions and recommendations to the students, the speaker mentioned that it is a prerequisite for those who will choose this department to like reading books. She also gave motivating messages expressing the importance of reading and research in every field and created a positive role and model effect on students.
Finally, after information about the equivalence of the diploma abroad, the interview ended with the answers to the questions from the students.
